Coloressence Pre Make Up Base Review

I have a love hate relationship with Coloressence brand. I don’t like their
lipsticks, eyeliners but I really love their base make-up. Yea, the foundations
and compacts are really good and I’ve been using them for years now.
When I saw this pre makeup base in the market I bought it immediately
as my expectations were high from it. I am using it continuously since 2
weeks, read on to know how it fared.

Active Ingredients: Vitamin E, wheat germ oil, dimethicone.
Shelf Life: 3 years
Price: 500 Rs for 20 ml

What the product claims?
Give your skin an instantly fresh and youthful glow with this pre make up base.
Coloressence, an arm of Nature's Essence offers the most intricate blend of
pigments and ingredients to weave a top of the shelf Bridal/Exclusive Vanity
Set. It is equipped with all that a bride/modern woman would ever want to
keep alongside her at such a special moment where all eyes are placed upon her.

My experience:
The primer from coloressence comes in a transparent tube which fits into the
palm easily. The product is visible from the tube so you can know when it’s
about to finish which is good. The packaging is sturdy, cute and travel friendly.
It doesn’t have any fragrance which is god for me as I’ve super sensitive nose.
The primer has a gel type consistency and thus it is going to suit all skin types
easily. It’s colorless and blending it is super easy. Little goes a long way and
you just need a pea sized amount to cover face and neck which means it will
last for 2-3 months when used daily.I apply it after moisturizing my face and
it spreads easily. It makes my skin very smooth and my foundation blends
effortlessly. It reduces the appearance of fine lines and gives even tone to my
face. I have large pores and it reduces it to a great extend and make my skin
look tighter. It keeps my face fresh for 4-5 hours and mind you I have super
oily skin. It doesn’t make my oily skin oilier and that is the reason I love it.
It keeps my makeup fresh for 5 hours which is commendable I think. I have
not experienced any allergic reactions to this. I would not recommend you to
use it near eyes as only active ingredients are mentioned on the pack and it’s
not safe to use on eyes. Overall, I think it’s a good primer and will suit all skin
types easily.

Pros:
  • Travel friendly packaging
  • Reduces fine lines
  • Makes skin smooth and foundation blends easily
  • Its fragrance free
  • Makeup stays for long after using it
  • Doesn’t make my oily skin oilier
  • Reduces pore
  • I think it’ll last for 2-3 months when used daily
  • Easy to blend
  • Little goes a long way
Cons:
  • Only active ingredients are mentioned
  • I wasn’t expecting a high price from coloressence
  • Doesn’t brighten face
  • Cannot be used on eyes due to missing ingredient list
TBLP Rating - 4/5

Will I recommend?
Yes, it’s a good primer which gives your face a smooth finish, reduces
pore size and also reduces the appearance of fine lines. You can get it
on discounted price online.
