7 Natural ways to Brighten and Lighten Skin

Dull and dark skin can be caused by lack of proper nutrition,sun exposure or due to lack of hydration and moisture in the body/skin.Some people are blessed with natural fair, flawless skin and some have to try hard to achieve that goal.Also we can clearly see in India any segment of beauty product which is highly popular and most sought after by all age groups is a fairness or skin lightener cream.Every one seems to be so obsessed with fair or bright skin that it leaves no choice for people to try these creams and spend lots of money on these products.These products may provide desired results however one cannot deny the harm these chemicals do to your skin.

  •   To improve your complexion naturally take 1 tablespoon of cucumber juice and mix 1 tablespoon of raw milk.This mixture enhances skin texture and complexion with consistent use.For all skin types.

  • Another effective way to lighten and brighten skin is to use 1 tablespoon of lemon juice mixed with 1 tablespoon of tomato juice on face twice a week.Good for oily to normal skin type.

  • Take the juice of an orange or tomato.Add two tablespoons of curd in it.Apply this on your face and let it dry,once dried wash it off .It will help to control oiliness and your complexion will also be enhanced.A good pack for oily skinned people,can be used twice a week.

  • Rubbing grated cucumber over face,neck,eyes for 15 -20 minutes has been found very effective to improve your complexion,and this will also prevent pimples and blackheads.Good for oily to normal skin.

  • Applying grated white radish or its juice over face for 10-15 minutes is great for fairer complexion.For all skin types.

  • Take 1 tablespoon of fresh yogurt(curd) mix it with 1/2 tablespoon of honey and apply this pack for 10-15 minutes to improve your skin tone and complexion.Can be used for all skin types.

  • Take 1 tablespoon of red sandalwood powder and 1 tablespoon of raw milk,apply this mixture on face for good 30 minutes to enhance your complexion and get rid of any dark patches on face.This pack can used daily to see faster results.Good for all skin types.

These natural remedies are very effective to brighten and lighten natural skin color,which becomes dull and dark due to several reasons.However, it would take its natural course of time to show results for very dark skinned people.Natural remedies are very effective but are slow and takes time and patience!!

  2. Does using cucumber to lighten your skin make it photosensitive to the Sun? because I've heard that lemon does and was wondering does Cucumber have the same effect.

    1. No cucumber has no such effect on skin compared to lemon which does make skin photosensitive. :) :D
